Terms of Service

By creating a Plyko account or using the Plyko mobile app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree, don’t use Plyko.

1. The service

Plyko is a mobile app that helps you log strength training sessions, track nutrition, and use AI-powered features (plate scan, fridge scan, recipe import, coach, meal planner). Some features are free; others require a Pro subscription.

2. Account

• You must be 13 or older to use Plyko, and 18 or older to subscribe to Pro.
• You’re responsible for keeping your password secret and for activity on your account.
• One natural person = one account. Sharing accounts is not allowed.

3. Pro subscription

Plyko Pro unlocks the full quotas of the AI features and removes the trial caps.

• Monthly plan: €8.99 / month — auto-renews monthly
• Yearly plan: €79.99 / year — auto-renews yearly
• Free trial: 14 days at reduced quotas (≈ 30 % of Pro caps) for first-time subscribers

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancel anytime from Apple ID → Subscriptions (iOS) or Google Play → Subscriptions (Android). Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.

Refunds. Payment is handled by Apple or Google. Refunds follow their policies. EU consumers benefit from the 14-day right of withdrawal (art. L221-18 Code de la consommation), except where the digital content has been actively used during that period (art. L221-28).

Price changes. If we raise prices, you’ll be notified at least 30 days in advance and asked to confirm before the new price applies.

4. AI features — important limits

The AI features (plate scan, fridge scan, label scan, recipe import, recipe generator, coach, meal plan) are best-effort estimates produced by a third-party LLM (Anthropic Claude). They are:

• Not medical advice. They are not a substitute for a physician, registered dietitian, or coach. Do not rely on them for any medical decision.
• Probabilistic. Macro estimates from a photo can be off by 30 % or more. Use them as a directional tool, not as ground truth.
• Subject to quotas. See Settings → Pro account for live counters. We may adjust quotas with notice when costs or abuse patterns change.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of everything you put into Plyko. By using the AI features, you grant us a strictly limited, revocable licence to send the relevant content to Anthropic for processing. Photos are not stored after the API call.

You agree not to upload:

• content that infringes someone else’s rights
• content that violates law (CSAM, harassment, etc.)
• content that interferes with the service (spam, malware, exploit attempts)

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice.

6. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Plyko available but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. We may add, change, or remove features with reasonable notice. Material changes reducing paid features are announced at least 30 days in advance.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Plyko is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that it will be error-free or that AI outputs will be accurate. Where French consumer law grants you statutory warranties, those are not affected.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Publisher’s aggregate liability for any claim related to Plyko is limited to the total amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim. This does not limit liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited under French law.

9. Termination

You can terminate at any time by deleting your account inside the app. We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach these Terms; in that case, we’ll refund any unused subscription period unless the breach involves fraud or abuse.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts in France, where allowed by mandatory consumer rules of your country of residence.

Before going to court, EU consumers can use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes are announced at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after the change means you accept the new Terms.
